Maine Governor. LePage Slammed For Racially Infused Comments.

Governor of the US State, Maine is in the spotlight for his saying ‘drug dealers’ impregnate white girls” yesterday on CNN.
“These are guys with the name D-Money, Smoothie, Shifty,” Le Page allegedly said on Wednesday during a Town Hall meeting. “These types of guys … they come from Connecticut and New York, they come up here, they sell their heroin, they go back home.
Incidentally, half the time they impregnate a young white girl before they leave, which is a real sad thing. Because, then we have the resulting issue to deal with down the road.”
His comment has been met with a serious backlash as several people accused him of being racist, including Marlon Marshall, the director of states and political engagement of the Clinton campaign. The Governor, who has a history of making racist remarks has conversely apologized.
"I was going impromptu and my brain didn’t catch up to my mouth,” Governor Le Page said on Friday. “Instead of Maine women, I said white women … If you go to Maine, you can see its 95% white.
What irks me is that even in his so-called apology, he still succeeded in dropping another racist remark. I am still yet to understand WHY he had to generalize. When he gave examples of the names, it was glaring what race he was referring to, and it definitely isn’t his.
