The
biggest retailer in the United has announced that it will be shutting down 269
of its stores including 159 in US.
“Closing
stores is never an easy decision but it is necessary to keep the country strong
and positioned for the future” said Doug McMillon. President and CEO of Walmart
Stores.
16,000
workers are expected to lose their jobs due to the company’s decision.
